Comparisons
Each comparison below states what the other platform genuinely does better, first and without hedging, and only then where ChatWidget is the better choice. That is not a promise: our build will not compile a comparison page without at least one honest concession, and it stops compiling one whose claims are more than 120 days old. Every page shows the date its claims were last checked.
Published comparisons
-
ChatWidget vs CustomGPT.ai
CustomGPT.ai links every answer to its source. ChatWidget shows the passages it refused too, and sells from your live catalogue. An honest comparison.
-
ChatWidget vs Intercom Fin
Fin has the certifications and the logos. ChatWidget publishes prices in rupees, shows every retrieval and fits a WooCommerce store. Dated comparison.
-
ChatWidget vs Kore.ai
Kore.ai leads the analyst reports. ChatWidget is a shopping assistant with published prices and visible retrieval. Where each is stronger.
-
ChatWidget vs Wonderchat
Wonderchat cites sources and bills a flat fee. ChatWidget shows the full retrieval and runs a cart. What each does better, dated.
-
ChatWidget vs Yellow.ai
Yellow.ai spans channels and certifications. ChatWidget shows why every answer was given and sells from your store. An honest, dated comparison.
How these are written
How we choose what to compare
We compare against the platforms merchants tell us they are also considering. For a store, that is usually another website chat widget, such as CustomGPT.ai or Wonderchat. For larger teams, it is an enterprise platform such as Intercom Fin, Kore.ai or Yellow.ai, which sells to a different buyer but sets the vocabulary everyone else uses.
What every comparison covers
- What they do better. Proof, certifications, channels, analyst placements: whatever is true.
- Where we are different. Almost always the same thing: we show the passages behind every answer, what each scored and what was refused. No competitor page we read shows that.
- Price. Where the other vendor publishes a price, we quote it with the date we read it. Where they do not, we say so rather than guessing.
- Who should choose them instead. Every page ends by naming the stores for which the other platform is the better choice.
What we will not do in a comparison
We will not quote a competitor's price without the date we read it, describe a feature we have not seen on their own site, or use a third-party listicle as a source. If a competitor's page blocks our fetcher, that is recorded as a limit of our research, not as evidence about them. And we will not compare against a platform we have not looked at properly, however often it is searched for.
If you are short of time
Read the first section of each page, what the other platform does better. It is the part most comparisons leave out, and the quickest way to see whether we are the wrong choice for your store.
Why we publish comparisons at all
Because you are going to compare anyway, and a comparison that admits the other side's strengths is more useful than one that does not. If you find a claim here that is out of date, tell us: we would rather correct it than keep it.
Comparisons being written
Chatbase, Tidio and Storebird are the three a store is most often also considering that are not covered yet. Each needs its own verification pass before it goes up, because a comparison that is wrong about a competitor is worse than no comparison. Until then, the one-line version:
Chatbase builds a chatbot from your content and links answers to sources; it does not read a store's live stock or fill a cart. Tidio is a live-chat and help-desk product with an AI layer, strongest where a team already answers chats by hand. Storebird is built for Shopify stores, which this product does not yet support. In every case the question to ask is the one on our evaluation guide: show me a wrong answer, and which stage produced it.

The trace behind every recommendation is the thing none of the ten show. Connect your store and read one.
